PROPHECY

To Whom It May Concern!

I want it known that I have never professed to be a “prophet” of God, and I have never perceived myself to be a “prophet” of God. I believe the last “prophet” of God was the apostle John who wrote “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” more than 1900 years ago (1 Cor. 13:8-10, 12; Rev. 1:1-3; 22:18-19). The Latin word “revelatio,” from which we get the English word “revelation,” and the Greek word “apokalupsis,” that has been translated into the English word “apocalypse,” all mean “the disclosure of that which was previously hidden or unknown” (Amos 3:7). Thus, anyone who has said they are a prophet of God since the apostle John, are false prophets and are not to be believed in anything they have to say about the Scriptures, salvation or the future!

We do not need new “prophets” or new “revelations” from anyone, no matter what they may claim. The reason being that we have the Holy Bible which is free from error concerning the supernatural, science, history and future events. This is why the Holy Bible is the only source of truth on planet Earth (Mt. 10:26; Mk. 4:22; 13:23; Lk. 8:17; 12:2; Jn. 18:20; Rev. 19:10b)!

The Holy Bible is called the “Word of God” because it is a faithful record of everything God wanted mankind to know as a whole, including those things that are evil and degenerate. The “original” [autograph] was written by men inspired by “God the Holy Spirit,” the third “Personality” of the triune “Godhead” that is known as the “Holy Trinity.” The substance of the Holy Bible has been preserved for us and is complete! We are not to look for the writing of additional Scripture or the giving of “extra-biblical” revelation (Ex. 17:14; Dt. 4:2; 5:22; 12:32-13:5; 28:58-62; 31:24-26; Josh. 1:7-8; 8:31-35; Ps. 12:6; 18:30; 19:7-9; 119:140, 142, 151; Prov. 30:5-6; Isa. 40:8; Mt. 4:1-11; 24:35; Lk. 16:29-31; 24:25-27; Jn. 5:39, 46-47; 17:12, 14, 17; 19:24; Acts 17:29; Rom. 1:18-20; 9:9-17; 15:4; 1 Cor. 2:9-14; Col. 2:9; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Heb. 4:12; 2 Pet. 1:21; 3:15-16; 1 Jn. 4:1; Rev. 1:1-3, 10-11; 22:6-10, 18-19).

Not to be logical is to be illogical! How logical can those people be who believe that there is an all-powerful and all-knowing God and then take the position that He does not have the power, knowledge, or ability to: One – reveal Himself to His own creation. Two – have what He wants known recorded in a written form. Three – be able to preserve what He has had recorded.

Therefore, “search” the Scriptures daily (Jn. 5:39, 46-47; Acts 17:10-12), “meditate” upon the Scriptures (1 Tim. 4:15-16), and “study” the Scriptures (2 Tim. 2:15). Those who do this will be better able to properly respond when questioned and challenged by those who demand legitimate evidence to support the teachings of biblical Christianity. “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15). “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man” (Col. 4:6). Amen!
